Event Description

Are you tired of attending a quiz night, only to find the science round has NO questions on seismic tomography, ocean minimum zones, or carbonaceous chondrites? Well, we have big news for you....

We still won't be asking those kinds of complicated geoscience questions, but we are hosting a Department of Geosciences Trivia night!

We hope this will provide an opportunity for some inter-departmental socializing and, most importantly for grad students, free food (probably pizza) and drinks!

Family, friends, partners and roommates are all welcome to join! We would like to emphasize that the questions will not be technical geosciences questions, though you may find some questions about life in Princeton, or even pictures of the faculty!

When and where is it?

  • Wednesday 9th October
  • 6 pm for food & drinks, 6.30 pm for trivia (hopefully ending around 9 pm)
  • Location: Great hall in Guyot Hall

How do I sign up?

  • The signup link is here.
  • Please add your team members and a team name if you have already thought of one. There may be bonus points for geology-related names like Pyrites of the Caribbean or Quiztobalite.
  • Teams may be of any size, but we recommend a maximum of 8-10 since you'll struggle to fit more around a table.
  • If you would like to attend, but are looking for more teammates, you can also add your name and email on the right-hand side to find other people!
  • Please email Theo (cc'd) or I, or make a note of, any dietary restrictions we should be aware of.
  • Feel free to email us with any other questions or concerns!

To request disability-related accommodations for any of our events, please contact The Office of Disabilities Services at [email protected] or 609-258-8840, at least 3 working days prior to the event.
