Subramanian, an environmental journalist, will explore India’s environmental future through the stories of the people documented in her book A River Runs Again who are determined to revive their landscape and improve their lives. Drawing on her travels across the country, she will discuss whether their work can help India create a new model for sustainable development at home and for the world, and if their work can survive in a faltering democracy.
