Research Summary: Davies joined Jeroen Tromp’s group as a postdoctoral research associate in December 2018. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. His research primarily focused on using ultrasound as a characterization tool for battery energy storage systems. His research interests include ultrasound imaging and the application of geoscientific methods, such as full waveform inversion, at the mm-scale. His current research involves interfacing experimental ultrasonic data with computational algorithms, and developing tools to characterize and model ultrasonic hardware.
