Research Summary: Small-scale physical-biological interactions are key to understanding how large-scale, climate-driven changes in ocean conditions will impact plankton ecosystem dynamics and transport. My research elucidates the fundamental dynamics that govern these small-scale interactions, and investigates their broader implications. To do so, I use high-resolution physical and biological observations, combined with numerical models and theory.
