About Me

John Suppe joined the Princeton faculty in 1971. At the time, it was called the Department of Geology. He served as department chair from 1991 to 1993. John had the vision to steer the geosciences department to become one of the leading centers for research in the new field of biogeochemistry and environmental geosciences, which is the application of microbiology and molecular biology to biologically mediated chemical processes in the Earth, such as global warming. Read More
