Research Summary: During Julius Busecke's Ph.D., as part of the NASA SPURS project (https://spurs.jpl.nasa.gov/), investigated sea surface salinity and the hydrogical cycle, with a particular focus on time variable eddy mixing in the subtropics of the global ocean.  Currently, he is working with Prof. Laure Resplandy and studies the variability of oxygen minimum zones in an eddy-rich climate model (GFDL's CM2.6) with a focus on the natural variability and forced changes due to climate change.

Keywords: oceanography, climate modelling, ocean biogeochemistry, ocean mixing and transport
