Title: NSF Earth Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow
Position: Postdoctoral Fellow
Research Summary: Dr. Lauren Pincus' research interests lie at the intersection of geoscience, chemistry, and environmental engineering. She uses fundamental knowledge from these three subject areas to solve complex interdisciplinary problems such as contaminant fate, design of sustainable water treatment technologies, and soil degradation. Dr. Pincus received her Ph.D. from the Yale School of the Environment and the Yale Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering, and a B.A. in Chemistry and Geology from Middlebury College. Lauren is currently an NSF Earth Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow (and formerly a Harry H. Hess Postdoctoral Fellow) in the Molecular Environmental Geochemistry Group at Princeton researching interactions between inorganic contaminants and microplastics.
