Research summary: My research focuses on understanding the coevolution of Earth’s convecting mantle and lithosphere, with a particular interest in the tectonic evolution of continents. I use geodynamic models with data assimilation to investigate the subduction process, dynamics of mantle thermal anomalies, and tectonic evolution of continental lithosphere. Currently, I am developing a next-generation global dynamic model using the hybrid geodynamic inversion scheme, which combines a high-resolution forward modeling method and an adjoint inversion algorithm.
Keywords: Mantle convection, lithospheric deformation, craton evolution, subduction process.
